The Baptist Union of Wales has a small team of staff who work together to support associations, churches and ministers and administer the life of the Union. Reverend Simeon Baker
General Secretary
Responsible for the administration of the Union and provides leadership and pastoral support for Ministers, Churches and Associations. An important part of the role is to plan future direction with the Boards in order to promote the Christian faith and Baptist principles.

Christian Tucker-Williams
Corporation Coordinator & Projects Officer
Responsible for administering, assisting and providing guidance to Churches, Associations and individuals in relation to matters pertaining to trusteeships and trust deeds. Offers guidance when Churches decide to bring the cause to an end and assists with legal obligations. Also responsible for developing specific projects within BUW.

Marc Owen
Ministry Coordinator
Working
with the BUW Ministry Board and National Settlement Team (NST), Marc helps
coordinate the Union’s ongoing support and encouragement of BUW ministers,
students and churches. From having initial conversations with those
sensing a ‘call’ to ministry to helping churches with settlement issues as well
as helping facilitate various ongoing ministerial training opportunities
including the Newly Accredited Ministers Scheme (NAMS), Marc works closely with
the General Secretary and Director of Mission to ensure that ministry across the Union is appropriately supported.

Sioned Graves
Mission and Digital Communications Officer
Sioned is responsible for the Union's internal and external communications, including The Messenger magazine, managing our website, and social media. These communication streams also complement the second half of her role: supporting the Missions Team in encouraging Churches and Associations in their mission to share the good news of Jesus to 21st Century Wales.

Nigel Vaughan
Finance Officer
Responsible for administering the accounts and funds of both the Union and Welsh Baptist Union Corporation, along with the preparation of the Annual Budget, monitoring reports for Trustees and the Finance Committee.

Helen Wyn
Corporation Coordinator
Responsible for administering, assisting and providing guidance to Churches, Associations and individuals in relation to matters pertaining to trusteeships and trust deeds. Offers guidance when Churches decide to bring the cause to an end and assists with legal obligations. Also responsible for dealing with WBUC tenants so as to ensure that we conform and adhere to the requirements of Rent Smart Wales.

Senior Finance Officer

Gwen keeps our office ticking over – she mans the phone, manages our general inbox and deals with the post. She helps with the general business of the Union and is also involved in producing the yearly Handbook and managing our database.
