Young people can book their spaces now for our upcoming 2026 Esgyn weekends! The ‘Esgyn’ team are looking forward to welcoming young people from across Wales to two exciting youth weekends that are on the horizon…
The ‘Esgyn’ youth initiative was launched in 2024 as a new space for youth across our churches – with the awareness that times of connection and community can be really valuable for those who are exploring or growing in their faith – and that it could serve as a brilliant opportunity to explore the adventure of faith.
The team launched the first Esgyn youth weekend at the Rock UK Summit Centre in February 2024, and the weekends have kept growing ever since.
We have two exciting opportunities for young people coming up this year:
The first Esgyn Plus Weekend (for 16-21 year olds) will be taking place this September, at St David’s Bunk Barns, Pembrokeshire from the 18th – 20th. This is a new experience for older youth who want to go a little deeper in their journeys of faith, and experience a new adventure.
The weekend will include:
- Times of worship, community, rest, and good food!
- Optional Activities (e.g Coasteering or Paddleboarding)
- Visiting the beautiful city of St David’s
- Activities and games on Caerfai Beach
… and much more!
Note: Although the initial deadline has passed for booking spaces on the optional TYF adventure activities, you are still welcome to enquire about booking a place on the activities using the form here – but please book as soon as possible! The Esgyn Weekend for 11-16s will also return this year to the Summit Centre, Treharris from the 20th – 22nd of November, building on the strengths of previous years while also introducing new activities and experiences.

If you are a church leader – please do consider whether you as a church would be interested in supporting any youth to come on the weekends, or whether you can spread the word with any young people in your community. We would love to welcome them!
The Esgyn team would also appreciate prayer for both these weekends, and for all the preparation over the next few weeks and months. Please do pray:
- For good planning and preparation – that the Esgyn team would be equipped and led by the Lord in all aspects of preparing well to welcome the young people in a safe and welcoming environment.
- For the Lord’s hand to be upon both weekends: that the young people would have a great time, form new friendships, and learn more about the adventure of following Jesus.
