As we approach one of the most important weekends for Christians and churches across the world, we remember the amazing truth of the crucifixion, the burial and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus – for us!
We pray blessing on each one of us as we approach this Easter weekend – that each of us, and those in our churches and communities, will know the beauty and truth of what the Lord did for us in His suffering – so that we can also share in the joy of His resurrection!
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed…’” 1 Peter 2:24
We would also like to share this reflection from EBF (European Baptist Federation) General Secretary Alan Donaldson, as he reflects on the experience of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. Alan exhorts us this Easter to also pray for our sisters and brothers in Christ who are enduring suffering across the world, while staying faithful to the witness of Christ.
