An Update from EBF: Hope Heats

We are pleased to share that we have raised a total of £8,031.02 over the last few months for our ‘Hope Heats’ winter appeal in partnership with EBF!

The European Baptist Federation (EBF) had launched an appeal in the winter months, in support of the Church in Ukraine. The aim was to ensure that 500 local churches in Ukraine were equipped to provide shelter, warmth, and necessities to everyone in need this winter. As a Baptist family in Wales, we sought to do our part in fundraising for our sisters and brothers who continue to suffer the effects of war, especially from strikes targeted against vital energy supplies.

A gift of £2000 would have been enough to provide heating for a Ukrainian church for the whole Winter. We are please to have raised enough to support 4 churches through this Winter!

The funds that we have raised as a Baptist family in Wales have gone directly to support churches in Ukraine that have been operating as a refuge, places of safety, and warm spaces during the winter, and into the spring. It has been the hardest winter in Ukraine for many years, so we believe every gift has made a difference.

As a response to our donation as a Union, we have been partnered with 4 churches in Ukraine.

Those churches are: The Ark of Salvation, Evangelical Christian Baptist Church ‘Golgotha’, Evangelical Christian Baptist Church of the City of Khmilnyk, The Ark of Hope. Please do remember these churches and ministers in your prayers as they continue to minister and offer critical support to their communities.

Thank you to every church and individual who have contributed so generously to this appeal!
