Welcome to Wales Anna!

Hi, my name is Anna Ketchum. I have been coming to Wales on regular short-term missions trips for the past seven years, and this month, I finally arrived on a temporary religious worker’s visa, sponsored by the BUW! I am an American from Oklahoma City, OK, and I have a degree in Religion and Philosophy. During my final year at university in 2014, I came to Wales for the first time and completely fell in love with the country, the people, and the language. In 2017, I visited Penuel Caerfyrddin for the first time and felt God’s invitation to come work with his congregation there. With the support of Pastor Aron Treharne and the BUW, I will be working with Penuel and other churches, within the BUW and beyond, to help with administration, discipleship, community-building, and anything else the Lord indicates! Trying to learn Welsh from America has been quite difficult, but I am excited to begin lessons here and pick it up as quickly as possible. I am eager to begin my work here, and I look forward to seeing what God has in store for my time!
