Prayer ’26: Prayer Wave

We invite you to join us as we finish our season of prayer with a special 12-hour ‘prayer wave’ this March!

In December, we extended an invitation to churches, ministers and individuals across the BUW family to join us in a season of prayer as we looked forward to this year – and also a key time in terms of our vision and mission as believers in Wales.

We had increasingly felt that there was a call to us as a BUW family to seek the Lord in a special way at the beginning of 2026. Firstly – to seek Him for Himself… He is worthy of all our focus and attention, all the time!

We also felt that there were many key developments that we wanted to present to the Lord in prayer this year:

  • Appointment of a new BUW General Secretary
  • Development of new Regional CIOs
  • A Changing Spiritual Climate in Wales – praying for the work of the Holy Spirit in hearts across the nation
  • Signs of Growth in our midst (e.g baptisms, children and youth).

We would like to extend an invitation for you to join us again as we finish this season of prayer with a special ‘Prayer Wave’ across Wales on the 26th of March.

How will it work?

  • We are inviting churches, groups and individuals to sign up to a prayer slot on the 26th of March.
  • The ‘prayer wave’ will run for 12 hours – from 7am until 7pm.
  • You can sign up to pray for however short or long via this link: https://signup.24-7prayer.com/signup/a19450*
  • Feel free to use the prayer resources here to help guide your time of prayer. Why not bring a small group together to follow one of the prayer sheets?
  • There will be two national prayer calls – midway through the day at 12pm, and one to finish at 7pm (please contact sioned@ubc.cymru to receive Zoom details to join).

*Please note: you can only sign up for a minimum hour’s slot on the 24/7 Prayer system, but that could mean praying for 15 minutes sometime in that hour. Note also that you can also book a slot at the same time as someone else – don’t be deterred if others have put their names down in the only time that you can do.
