We are inviting churches, ministers and individuals across the BUW family to join us in a season of prayer as we look forward to this new year – and also a key time in terms of our vision and mission as believers in Wales.

What is Prayer’26?
Prayer ’26 is a season of prayer that will run between the New Year (week of / 4th of January) until Easter (the week of / 29th of March).
We are inviting churches, individuals and groups to pray with us through this period, with prayer materials available to use for individuals or groups throughout the period below.
We are also inviting churches, ministers and individuals to come together to pray at several points:
- January 26th – National Prayer Calls (on Zoom) at 12pm and 7pm
- February 26th – National Prayer Calls (on Zoom) at 12pm and 7pm
- March 26th – Encourage churches and individuals to take part in a ‘Prayer Wave’ from 7am until 7pm (in their own churches / regions, or as individuals). A National Prayer Call / Meeting will also take place at 12pm and 7pm (location / medium TBC)
What is the focus?
We have increasingly felt that there is a call to us as the BUW family to seek the Lord in a special way at the beginning of 2026.
Firstly – to seek Him for Himself… He is worthy of all our focus and attention, all the time!
We also feel that there are many key developments that we would like to present to the Lord in prayer this year:
- Appointment of a new BUW General Secretary
- Development of new Regional CIOs
- A Changing Spiritual Climate in Wales – praying for the work of the Holy Spirit in hearts across the nation
- Signs of growth in our midst (e.g children and youth ministries).
- Prayer for all our churches and their communities as we look to this new year.
