Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer 2025

For 75 years, sisters in Christ in Wales have united in prayer for the Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer. It is an incredible honour for us to build upon this legacy on the 3rd of November as many women gather again across the world to pray in homes, churches, and communities…

The 2025 Day of Prayer theme is “Living the Good News”, a theme that has been inspired by Luke 4:18-19.“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

The Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer is hosted by Baptist World Alliance Women, which is a network of Baptist sisters serving together across 7 continental unions in more than 150 countries and territories, all united by a calling to impact the world for Christ.

Below are resources that can be used to organise prayer meetings or services to mark the Day of Prayer.

Thank you to Elen Lansdown and Nia Llwyd from Emaus, Bangor for translating the material into Welsh, suitable for use in services (below).
